Kabul attack victims are all Nepalis, Afghan ministry confirms

A suicide attacker hit a minibus in the Afghan capital, Kabul, early on Monday, killing 14 Nepali security guards, Afghanistan’s Ministry of Interior Affairs confirmed.A yellow minibus carrying Nepal and Afghan security guards was hit by a suicide bomber in the Banae area, PD9 Kabul city at 5:40 this morning.A statement issued by the Afghan Ministry of Interior Affairs confirmed all the victims are Nepali citizens. Nine others—five Nepalis and four Afghans—were injured in the attack, the ministry stated further.Condemning the incident, the ministry has expresses its condolences to the families and relatives of the victims.BBC reported the attacker was on foot and waited for the bus to leave the compound housing the security contractors. Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack. The attack is said to be in revenge for execution of six Taliban prisoners.
